Privacy Policy
Last updated 23 August 2026
AI Use Phone (“we”, “us”) lets you place phone calls that are carried out by an AI voice agent, from your own phone number, either from our website or from ChatGPT. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who we share it with, and how long we keep it. It applies to aiusephone.com and to the AI Use Phone app in ChatGPT.
1. Data we collect
- Account data — your email address, display name and password (stored hashed by our authentication provider).
- Your phone number — the number you verify as your caller ID. We store it so that calls can be placed from it.
- Call requests — the number you ask us to call, the name of the business or person, your objective, questions and any context you provide.
- Call records — call status, timing, a text transcript of the conversation, an AI-generated summary and outcome. We do not store audio recordings.
- Technical data — server logs (IP address, timestamps, request paths) kept for security and debugging.
We do not collect payment card data, government identifiers, health data or your ChatGPT conversation history. The ChatGPT app only receives the details of the specific call you ask for.
2. How we use it
- To place the calls you request and show you the results.
- To introduce the caller by your display name and to call from your verified number.
- To enforce safety limits (daily call limits, one active call, blocked number ranges) and to prevent abuse.
- To operate, secure and improve the service and to respond to support requests.
We do not sell personal data, serve advertising, or use your data to train AI models.
3. Who we share it with (processors)
- Supabase — authentication and database hosting (EU, Ireland).
- Vercel — application hosting and server logs.
- Twilio — telephony. Twilio receives your verified number, the destination number and call metadata to connect the call.
- ElevenLabs — the AI voice agent. ElevenLabs processes the live audio of the call, produces the transcript and summary, and receives your objective, questions, context and display name.
- OpenAI — if you use the ChatGPT app, OpenAI processes what you type in ChatGPT and the tool inputs/outputs under OpenAI's own terms and privacy policy.
The person or business you call hears the AI agent; they are told whose behalf the call is on and, if they ask, that they are speaking with an automated assistant.
4. Retention
- Account data and your verified number: for as long as your account exists.
- Call requests, transcripts and summaries: 12 months from the call, or until you delete them or your account.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
- Processor copies are retained according to their own policies; ElevenLabs conversation data is retained for a limited period under our workspace settings.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the UK, EU and South Africa) you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict its processing. To exercise these rights, or to delete your account and all call records, email support@aiusephone.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Application data is only accessible to our backend; neither browsers nor ChatGPT can query it directly. Calls can only be placed from a number you have proven you control, and you must explicitly confirm every call.
7. Children
AI Use Phone is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
8. Changes and contact
We will post any changes to this policy here and update the date above. Questions: support@aiusephone.com.
